Say what you want about Chick-Fil-A, at least it's consistent.
I have never been left disappointed with this place. The staff is friendly and nice and the food is always good. I don't get the typical "chick" sandwich. I usually get the way unhealthier (because it's loaded with mayo) chicken salad sandwich. It is the best chicken salad sandwich you will ever get at a fast food joint, I can guarantee you that! Their waffle fries are also a fave, but I'm usually left wishing that they were a tad crispier. I like to bring them home and pop them in the oven, for a bit, in order to get them the way I like them.
Minus one star for sometimes putting the cole slaw in the bag, on it's side, causing leakage.
Closed on Sundays, but I'm sure you knew that.Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0 - Wylloe' E.Chalmette, LA05Nov 16, 2023

I'm really not the biggest fan of fast food and I'm definitely not a fan of chains. Some chains do put out decent food and sometimes every few years I will indulge in some of it. Chick-Fil-A was a place I used to love to eat back when malls were cool in the 80's. I still think they have one of the most fantastic fried chicken sandwiches and the pickle they throw on there brings out some extra zing of flavor. I also had my first experience with waffle fries here and those things are also pretty damn skippy tasty. I once worked with a young lady that loved Chick-Fil-A so much she ate it EVERYDAY for lunch for the three years I worked with her.
I also think it's great the owner has values that he stands by and he isn't afraid to run his business by his values. I'm glad we still have some semblance of a free market in this country and the right of free speech where people can agree or disagree and if you like nice fried chicken you can eat it or not. God help us when the PC thought police lunatics take over and force us to only eat fried tofu and only engage in group think with anybody that disagrees with them being swiftly sent for "recycling" to fertilize more soybeans to make more tofu. Remember kids PC is EVIL and being non-PC is way COOL!Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Sep 15, 2016
So, Chickfila is okay. I find it to be kinda bland actually but my boyfriend loves the spicy chicken sandwich and I usually order an Asian salad or I will get a cookie shake and call it a spoiled kid dinner. So because we are definitely a house divided when it comes to this fast food joint I split the difference, he says 5 stars and I say 3, so a 4 is what they get from us. The drive through is super efficient I will give them that. I wish other places would take a look at what chickfila does and follow the leader on that part.

I picked up a catering order from this Chick-fil-A location.
+I spoke to the restaurant operator, Jeff when placing my order. He was super friendly and helpful! He made the whole process stress-free. (Jeff gets 5* in my book!)
+At pick-up, the food was ready on-time and the order was correct.
+Cashier insisted on helping me take everything out to my car.
I could have lived without:
-the eye-roll and "Really?!" comment when I asked for one of the drinks to not include ice. (Yeah, if I just paid about $200 for a lunch, you can give me a drink without ice - and lose the sass!)
-The on-duty manager (female) making it difficult to split the cost between two company credit cards. She tried telling the cashier that it was not possible. Not true! I'd already spoken to Jeff about needing to do so and I was told it was fine. Come to find out, the on-duty manager just did not know HOW to complete the transaction. She had to call Jeff and ask him to walk her through it. Lying is disrespectful and unappreciated. I'd rather be asked to wait in order to find the solution.Helpful 7Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Jeb K.Terrytown, LA46269Jul 8, 2015
ATTENTION: DIABETICS. Check your labels here. Chick fil a has changed their menu items. I used to get a salad with their Caesar dressing ( Cardini's in a pouch) with sunflower kernels for a garnish. No more Caesar or kernels. I got a side salad with the lowest sugar count I could (the staff was not interested in helping me, just answering "I don't know" when I asked) the apple cider or berry balsamic dressings are vinaigrettes, and each carry 15 grams of sugar per serving!!! It's hard to find that at the grocery! 3 of the top ingredients were sugar, corn syrup and honey- in a vinaigrette!
I appreciate the owners' dedication to their faith. I applaud that. But commercially, they've sold out to sugar to boost sales. Now the fries are a lower carb option than the salads. A shame.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Sara M.New Orleans, LA2382831392Nov 4, 2013
If you want a chicken sandwich and a smile, check out Chick-Fil-A.
I mean who isn't familiar with this chain? They have great chicken, and the waffle fries are tasty.
I have only been through the drive thru, but I have always had great service. Fast and friendly. A few times I have had really big orders for work, and they took care of me with no issues.
I appreciate the fast service and polite smiles.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Lizz F.Baton Rouge, LA78369269Apr 20, 2012
I was pretty surprised to find a Chik-Fil-A at Oakwood Center. I think the chicken here surpasses Cane's. Chicken strips with BBQ sauce... can't go wrong! It's in a mall food court, so I really can't rate the atmosphere. They are well-staffed, and I appreciated that they told me the wait for my chicken strips would be 3 minutes - somehow it makes the wait easier. They took exactly three minutes! Will eat here again.

I love Chick-Fil-A. I eat there whenever I go to work. I don't even look for anyplace else to eat.

It does not get any better as far as fast food is concerned! And their employees are normally friendly and courteous, something that you rarely find at fast food places anywhere and especially in the New Orleans area. Their sauce for the chicken sandwiches is great and a must for me. However, my favorite is their waffle fries. I like them a little crunchier so I ask for them to fry them a little longer for me. Good food and good people! Thanks CFA!
