"Do you know anyone in Sydney?" was the question I was asked by Simon Dent as he looked to engage with an agency to support in the build up but also coverage of his next ultra fund raising challenge for Dallaglio RugbyWorks as well as this time including The British & Irish Lions Trust as they venture to Australia for the 2025 Tour. As a rugby fan I was always going to lean into this one and quickly realised that Christine Mills (MD of George P Johnson Australia & New Zealand) and her team were also fans. They have quickly jumped on this and have been working with Simon & the DRW team and will continue to whilst we count down to the first test match in Brisbane this time next year. It was a pleasure to connect with a cohort of business leaders to discuss how we can best leverage Gen AI to elevate customer experiences at IBM's Unchartered event in Sydney yesterday. We explored the challenges, nuances and realities of extracting value from generative AI and heard about IBM’s own journey in harnessing generative AI for CX. My key takeaway from these insightful conversations about how AI is transforming the marketing industry? "AI isn't going to steal people's jobs. But people using AI are certainly going to steal the jobs of people who aren't."
