This complaint is just to warn others about a failed product protection policy. I've already tried to resolve dispute with Discover Card. I used my card to buy an exercise bike from a well-known third-party online vendor. The bike came with a broken frame, not discoverable until I began the assembly. ****** argued that they delivered the product I ordered to the correct address and delivery was not refused. All irrelevant issues! (Never mind that the item was left at front door when no one was home to even look for damage.) Discover Card accepted the Sellers reasoning and said there was no reason not to honor the charge. Im rethinking using Discover for purchases for which Id like some damaged product protection.

This "Bank" has a policy of delaying i.e., posting payments, for up to 2 business days if you pay online (Weekends/holidays are not business days so if you send your online payment on on a Saturday it may not post until Tuesday). The reason for this appers to be that they can charge you an additional $30 for a "late fee" if your payment is not made on it's due date. After speaking with Discover, to question the "late fee(s)" that I have been charged with several times, I was told that if I wanted a payment to post, on the day that I made it, I would have to call them and talk with a rep to make the payment even if I'm making to payment a day in advance. Otherwise, I could be charged the "late fee". Warning, if you have an account with ********************** make your payment at least 5 days in advance of the payment due date!!!!
