Black listeners are an increasingly vital force within the overall podcast audience. We've consistently seen Black Americans being more likely than the American average to be monthly podcast listeners in the surveys we've condicted annually in support of Triton Digital Podcast Metrics Demos+ since 2021. The Black podcast audience also has distinct listening preferences, being more inclined to the Music, Sports and Religion/Spirituality genres - and to listen to podcasts for self-improvement, to be inspired, and to challenge the way they think.
