“Asteroid City” was cute, but I’m finding it increasingly difficult to get excited about new Wes Anderson films. His last truly great movie was “Fantastic Mr. Fox” in 2009, where he did something new and different. Everything since feels like self-parody.

Welp, I suppose its good that I didn’t stay up late to watch the USWNT. 😿

Folks in the LA area - I am selling a brand new JAMO S 83 CEN center channel speaker. It sounds great, but was too large to fit between my projector and screen. LMK if interested!

I suppose the ACC adding Cal & Stanford would give my teams more chances at wins against inferior programs. Not that they’ll take advantage 😝 It would allow for a contract renegotiation with ESPN, which is good. Teams would still be under the thumb of a dumb GOR tho.

Look, I know the ACC is gonna catch some shit for the idea of adding Stanford, Cal, and especially SMU, but… find me better fits for the conference? I don’t really like Miami or GT being in the ACC, but all three of those make more sense than Louisville.

Walker’s Shortbread is one of the rare packaged products that is as good as what you can make at home. Four ingredients: flour, butter, sugar, and salt. No bullshit. Just goodness. Dunking a shortbread cookie in a cup of black coffee is heaven.

Watched “No Hard Feelings” last night. Jennifer Lawrence is a great comedic actress, even when the material provided is middling. I’d give it a solid “three star in-flight movie” rating.

Dinner tonight is a fresh manicotti, stuffed with a ricotta and sweet sausage mix, and baked in a vodka tomato sauce. Finished under the broiler with mozz and parmesan. Delish!

I don’t think I can adequately express how much I adored Across the Spider-Verse. I had been waiting to experience it at home, vs. sitting in a germy theater. So worth it. One of the most spectacularly beautiful movies I’ve ever seen. 💕🕷️

There is an Akira slide in Across the Spider-Verse, y’all. I have all the feels.

Gamers Nexus absolutely excoriated LTT Media Group, and justifiably so. I really enjoy watching LTT videos as entertainment, but their flippant attitude toward fair criticism is exhausting.

I’m twelve episodes into Succession and I still hate everyone. Every last one. But, man, that theme song is an absolute banger.

I make a mean French omelette. It took a lot of practice, but the sight (and taste!) of a perfectly rolled omelette, glistening with butter, is worth it. Next, I’d love to learn to make a Japanese omelette. Bigger challenge!

Bazzite OS is pretty cool. It’s a distro based on Fedora that has a Steam Deck like experience. I think I’m going to build a mini ITX gaming PC running this over Christmas holiday.

The Ferrari livery for Monza is amazing! I’d trade it for a better car, though 😎
