That's a Jazzmaster Ultra series in "Cobra Blue"; amazing guitar!
Jag, Jazz, I need to learn the difference!
Jazzmasters typically have the wide, flat pickups.

25 1/2" scale length on the JM vs 24" on the Jaguar, too.

Yep should have pointed that out.  I have a Jag (contemporary Squier with humbuckers) and its such an interesting feel after having only a Strat for a while.

I really dislike the 24" short scale on a Jag; a Mustang feels fine as it's a much smaller guitar body, but similar to you I only really play my Strat which feels perfect in terms of scale length and skinny neck, I guess you get used to whatever guitar you play most.

NGD - 2023 MIJ JazzMaster Sherwood Green Metallic

Someone local imported it from Kyoto from a shop doing some small batch runs ... he thought he ordered a Mustang but messed up the order form and ordered this JM instead.  So this kinda dropped right in my lap just when I was seriously looking for a JM.   It has specs that pretty much match my favorite guitar neck on my Tele so kinda in my goldilocks zone.

Wow! That color. I love my AO60s Jazzmaster. That chunky neck and the binding feels SO good. Do you have to do anything with the bridge? I ended up going with the Staytrem to control some buzzing and tone issues. Mine also shipped with the wrong trem arm, so I replaced that with a Staytrem as well. Oh and a neck shim, LOL. Finicky, yes, but also nothing like it when you get it just right.
I smile, but who am I kidding...

yeah i'd get a strat next. you have a les paul and a tele, just missing a guitar with 5 pickup positions. you have 2 acoustics already. i'd get the mccready strat if you can afford it. that would round out your overall sound options.

Excellent! I bought one too. It was at a time when I needed a guitar for gigs and a few recording commitments. I figured that I would buy a nicer guitar after I got paid from those jobs.

Well, I still have it and it remains one of my absolute favorite guitars ever. Sounds much better than it should, given its HPL (Formica) back and sides. At least it has a solid spruce top. Love the neck profile and the Micarta fretboard is smooth and solid.

Mine has been partially refretted twice now due to lots of hours of playtime. It is one of the early ones from the "X Series". Built in the USA and purchased in 2003, IIRC.

That guitar actually inspired me to track down another early "X Series" Martin. My other one is a 00CXAE in black. It is a small, thin-bodied guitar, all HPL and also built in the USA. I modified it quite a bit since it had some issues that the previous owner didn't disclose. Ended up getting a better deal on it as a result. It has become my go-to, loud gigs acoustic/electric. The small body fights feedback like a champ and it's so comfortable and light, I can play it for hours without any issues.

New toy came in today, Fender Aerodyne P. Bought it used at a price I couldn’t pass on. Came with flatwounds which I don’t think will be staying on long. Fun and gorgeous addition

That's very cool! Love the matching headstock and no pickguard. Very clean look.
