Orphaned non-free image (Image:Over Drive - Shinozaki Mikoto.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Over Drive - Shinozaki Mikoto.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 06:36, 4 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'm unclear on what the recommended format for tables on this page is, and I can't find a WP:MoS page on what it should be. To my mind, writing 10.0 means "this feature is not supported in the current version which is 10.0". While I assume by your logic, it would mean "this feature is not supported in the current stable version, but the latest version is 10.0". I'm sorry but the latter logic seems a tad barmy to my mind and I'm fairly sure most Wikipedia readers would read it the first way, not the second. If you insist on leaving Opera's column red, I would suggest changing the number to 9.6, in the mean time I will revert your edit (and also make Firefox's green as I've just found it supports the same as of 3.1), as I feel it would be more useful to readers to represent this knowledge, regardless of the stability of these releases, as they are available to users.

On another note, IE8RC is not a stable release, yet it's referenced in green repeatedly throughout the entire page. ɹəəpıɔnı 15:40, 21 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Okeeedoke. I'll take your word for it, although I'd be happier to see a non "de-facto" standard as the current accepted method makes the opposite of sense to me, I may suggest one somewhere... But consensus is consensus is consensus so I'll comply from hereonin. Thanks for the heads up. ɹəəpıɔnı 19:45, 21 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
