We’re dedicated to keeping our community healthy and capable of pursuing their chosen careers—through personalized health insurance counseling provided nationally, guidance and enrollment support; referrals to health care resources; as well as primary and specialty care at The Friedman Health Center in New York City.

Working from our offices in New York and Los Angeles, our experienced staff provides health insurance counseling nationwide. Our multi-faceted services include:

  • Individual consultations
  • Weekly seminars on Affordable Care Act plans, Medicaid and Medicare with live Q&A
  • Enrollment assistance in New York and California from unbiased, certified application counselors and licensed agents
  • Information and practical tips from our online educational materials
  • An extensive database of nationwide health care and insurance resources
  • Community outreach through participation in health fairs, arts conferences and other local events
  • Advocacy for legislative changes that will make insurance more user-friendly and affordable; for example, the successful fight for a COBRA subsidy* in New York State for entertainment industry workers

Please register or log in to our Entertainment Community Fund Portal to access our workshops, programs and services. Our portal is designed to cater to your individual needs and interests, offering access to a wide range of resources and support—all with the guidance and understanding of what it takes to build a life and career in the arts.

You can also schedule an appointment with a health insurance counselor in the portal. Once you’ve created an account and entered your demographics, click on How We Help > Counseling & Consultations > Health Insurance Counseling and fill out the short form.
