Who would have thought Sylvester Stallone and Sharon Stone could be eclipsed by a family comedy? But last week, when Angels in the Outfield debuted atop the rentals chart, The Specialist proved not to be so special. This week, though, now that the pyrotechnic action flick has jumped from No. 4 to No. 2, it’s poised to blast Angels out of the top spot. The big news, however, is what bombed in another way. Three movies that tanked in theaters also missed the video top 10: Christopher Lloyd went nowhere (well…to No. 14) with Camp Nowhere, the S&M comedy Exit to Eden (No. 18) got spanked, and most shocking of all, Wes Craven’s New Nightmare-the latest in the huge-on-video Freddy franchise-suffered a grisly debut (No. 20).
