Norah Jones is No. 1 for a second week

Better late than never. It took two weeks, but the Grammy boost finally arrived for those artists who received multiple Grammy nominations earlier this month. Leading the pack was Norah Jones, whose 47-week-old ”Come Away With Me” came away with the No. 1 spot on the Billboard album chart for the second straight week, and which sold 114,000 copies (6,000 more than last week), according to SoundScan. Avril Lavigne’s ”Let Go” rose to second place and shifted another 104,000 units (21,000 more than last week). The Dixie Chicks also climbed one notch and finished in third place, selling 86,000 copies of ”Home,” up 7,000 from last week. The ”Chicago” soundtrack, this week’s only new entry in the top 10, razzle-dazzled its way to No. 4 in its first week and sold 83,000 records. Jennifer Lopez’s ”This Is Me? Then” fell three spots to No. 5 on sales of 78,000.

Ja Rule’s November release, ”The Last Temptation,” returned to the top 10 in 10th place, boosted by his new single ”Mesmerize.” Three other top-10 releases rose one rung apiece, with Missy Elliott’s ”Under Construction” up one to No. 7, Aaliyah’s ”I Care 4 U” up one to No. 8, and Christina Aguilera’s ”Stripped” up one to No. 9. Sliding down one slot was the ”8 Mile” soundtrack, which landed at No. 6.
