Heidi Montag's mom discusses their estranged relationship: 'It hurts more than I thought I could hurt'

Tonight, on The Hills, Darlene and daughter, Holly, talk about this difficult time and Darlene reveals that she feels as if she’s lost her daughter. “I just feel like she can’t live in two worlds and that she feels like she has to choose between us and Spencer,�� Darlene tells Holly. She adds, “I haven’t slept for months. I had to go and get a prescription for sleeping pills just to be able to go to sleep at night to the point where I didn’t even know how I would make it another day. I’ve been mourning the loss of a child and, yeah, it hurts. It hurts more than I thought I could hurt. I can’t live like that. I have to know in my heart that I did everything I thought I could do.”
