After all of the hours upon hours that you’ve probably spent watching Nick Jr with your kids, the network is rewarding you with a new primetime comedy block targeted to moms starting tonight (Monday, Oct. 1) 10-12 p.m. Four new shows will debut: NickMom Night Out, a stand-up comedy series, MFF: Mom Friends Forever, which follows two besties who run a video blog together, What Was Carol Brady Thinking?, a sort of pop-up video version of The Brady Bunch with Carol’s imagined thought bubbles; and Parental Discretion with Stefanie Wilder-Taylor, a talk/variety show hosted by the comedienne/author (Sippy Cups Are Not for Chardonnay).

Wilder-Taylor’s show is the most promising, with its (safely) edgy humor. Her standup is pretty good but her on-site visits (she crashes a kid’s birthday party in the first episode) really hum. Some of the other segments are great fodder for Wilder-Taylor, like ”You’ve Come a Long Way, Baby,” which calls out old commercials for their sexist takes. Segments like one on a helicopter mom don’t immediately click, but are definitely worth keeping an eye on. The clip below is a sample of her trip to a tattoo shop looking for mom-appropriate ink (but you should check out the birthday party one tonight when she makes a party princess actress blush with a prostitute reference and gets heckled by some kids).

Will you be tuning in for the whole lineup once you get the kiddies off to bed?
