Why Bash Smash?
I guess I completely missed the part where everyone ”loved to hate” Smash. Am I the only one who just loved it?

Smash has definitely had issues, and some of the choices made in season 1 were bad. But the Bollywood sequence was a lot of fun and a nice change of pace. The show shouldn’t get so much flak for it.

Losing Strategy
It appears I’m the lone person on earth who hated Silver Linings Playbook (News and Notes). But I found the age difference between Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence disturbing. And the whole thing gets decided with a dance contest? Really? I thought the actors did a great job with a terrible script, but I checked the clock twice during this film because I couldn’t wait for it to end.

A Performance That Stings
Like other film fans, I was saddened by the loss of veteran character actor Charles Durning. I was pleased to read your informative rundown of some of his best performances (Monitor), but I’d like to call attention to one more: his bullying yet ultimately gullible turn as Lieutenant Snyder in George Roy Hill’s Oscar-winning 1973 masterpiece The Sting.

Favorable Judgment
Thank you for adding Dredd to the Must List. It was most definitely one of the best unseen movies of 2012. I’m a huge comic-book geek, but regardless, Dredd was a fantastic action movie. I hope word of mouth and reviews like yours help the sales of the DVD and Blu-ray.

Poetry in Emotion
Louise Glück has been one of my favorite poets ever since I read ”Gretel in Darkness,” so I truly enjoyed the review of Poems 1962–2012 (Books). This collection will be a welcome addition to my library.

USA! USA!
Followers of two signature crime-solving shows have spoken: We want our USA Network! Reader Erin Stibal of Lakewood, Calif., represents frustrated fans.
Other than Suits, where was USA Network in the Winter TV Preview? What about White Collar? Or Psych, TV’s funniest show? We want Gus and Shawn, and are anxious for their return to our TVs!

Correction
Illustrating our story on director Allen Hughes’ new movie Broken City, we mistakenly ran a photo of his twin brother, director Albert Hughes (#1242, Movies). EW regrets the error.

Online Debate
To Spoil Or Not To Spoil
That is the question, inspired by J.J. Abrams’ reluctance to leak details on Star Trek Into Darkness. EW.com readers weren’t secretive about their feelings.
SPOIL!
For me, especially when watching a Bad Robot production, spoilers allow me to look for/think about other things and not be so concerned about understanding the general plot. I also think reading a spoiler is never the same as seeing something unfold on film. —DarthLocke4

DON’T SPOIL!
I am behind Abrams’ decision to keep a lid on his projects 100 percent. It’s like a birthday gift — there’s no fun in unwrapping it if you already know what’s inside. My money is better spent when I walk away feeling like I’ve just experienced something new. —volleypop

SPOIL!
Sometimes spoilers have actually saved a show for me. For instance, reading spoilers for Joss Whedon shows was like buying an insurance policy against having my heart stomped to pieces. —Eurydice

DON’T SPOIL!
I can’t fault Abrams’ logic. Sadly, so many fans have developed an attitude of entitlement — that they expect spoilers as part of the process — that I fear some have been turned off by Into Darkness simply because they don’t know much about it. —Namnoot
