'The Bling Ring' trailer: Adderall, Facebook and 'the lifestyle that everybody kinda wants'

Bling Ring Trailer

“Girls! Time for your Adderall,” shouts Leslie Mann’s character to two sleeping teenagers in a brightly idyllic suburban Los Angeles home in the opening shot of the new trailer for The Bling Ring, before we smash cut to the teens acting cooler-than-thou at a dark club while Azealia Banks plays in the background and Paris Hilton and Kirsten Dunst make the rounds. These kids are way past pop tarts, orange juice, and movie nights.

Sofia Coppola’s (Lost In Translation) highly anticipated new film takes on the real-life teenage criminals who stole over $3 million in art, clothes, and jewels from Los Angeles-based celebrities like Hilton, Lindsay Lohan, and Rachel Bilson between October 2008 and August 2009.

In the trailer, below we see the origin — bored kids on Facebook noticing that Paris Hilton is hosting a party in Vegas. All it takes is one quick online search for “Paris Hilton address” and they’re off. “Let’s go to Paris’s,'” says Nicki (Emma Watson). “I want to rob.”

Check out the trailer below, and watch how things quickly spiral out of control for the label and celebrity obsessed teens who are all too skilled at explaining away their crimes.

The Bling Ring opens in limited release on June 14.
