'Thor: The Dark World'

Our preview of the comic-book hero film from this year's Comic-Con

After thwarting the devastation of NYC in The Avengers, Thor (Chris Hemsworth) returns to his home planet for his second solo adventure. ”We wanted to see more of Asgard than last time,” says Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige. ”We see the street-level view, the nooks and crannies of how people actually live there — real people and not just golden superbeings.” No one is more golden than Thor himself, who brings down the hammer on a new foe, Malekith the Accursed (Christopher Eccleston), and tries to survive the glare war between Earth pal Jane Foster (Natalie Portman) and Asgardian warrior Sif (Jaimie Alexander) that makes New York look inviting again.
