Remember that cellist of Coulson’s dreams, first mentioned in The Avengers and then again in a more recent Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. episode where we learned that she was upset about his apparent God-induced demise? Well, not only is she getting a name (Audrey!) she’s also getting a face — and that face is none other than the Whedeonverse’s own Amy Acker.
The role reunites the actress with Clark Gregg, her Much Ado About Nothing co-star. Acker, currently a series regular on CBS’ Person of Interest, is scheduled to appear in the April 22 episode. So far, there’s no mention of a recurring role…but we can dream, right? The casting news was originally reported by TV Guide.
Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. resumes its freshman season on April 1 at 8 p.m. on ABC.
