HBO renews 'The Leftovers'

They’re still here. And they will be for another season.

HBO announced today that it has picked up a second season of The Leftovers. Created by Lost boss Damon Lindelof and author Tom Perrotta, the dark drama starring Justin Theroux is based on Perrotta’s best-seller about the citizens of New York town who are left behind after millions of people around the world suddenly and mysteriously vanish.

The 10-episode first season will conclude Sept. 7.
