Casting Net: Aya Cash of 'You're The Worst' to star in 'Scared of Sarah' film adaptation

  • Aya Cash, female star of FXX’s You’re The Worst, was tapped to star in Scared of Sarah, whose rights were optioned by producer Jordan Yale Levine. The film, originally developed at the Kennedy Center’s Page-to-Stage Festival and the Lark Play Development Center, focuses on a twentysomething married couple as they prepare for the birth of their first child. Laura Brienza is penning the script. [Variety]
  • Charlotte Gainsbourg is in talks to join Independence Day 2, the in-the-works sequel of the 1996 action flick. The Nymphomaniac star is slated to team up with Liam Hemsworth and Jessie Usher. Director Roland Emmerich and actor Jeff Goldblum from the original film will reprise their roles. [The Hollywood Reporter]
