Before being interviewed to the tune of “Bad Blood” on Monday morning, Jake Gyllenhaal made a surprise appearance with Eminem at a Detroit area screening of their new film Southpaw.

The pair came out just before the Sunday evening showing at a theater in Livonia, Michigan, in front of a cheering, photo-snapping crowd, according to the Detroit Free Press.

“Jake did an incredible job,” the rapper told the crowd. “Jake smashed it, Antoine [Fuqua] killed it, 50 [Cent] killed it. Everybody in the movie is great, in my opinion. I’m super-excited to be a part of it.”

Southpaw, which has a soundtrack produced by and featuring Eminem, opens in theaters Friday.
