Daniel Radcliffe fans are used to seeing the actor fight Dementors and dark wizards. But in BBC 2’s The Gamechangers, Radcliffe’s character takes on a conservative American lawyer to defend the videogame he’s created: the fastest-selling entertainment product in history, also known as Grand Theft Auto.

A thick-bearded Radcliffe plays the British man behind GTA, Sam Houser, who goes to court with Jack Thompson (Bill Paxton), the lawyer determined to stop the violent game from influencing children. Houser and the team behind the game have known each other since childhood and believe in the GTA‘s ability to transform the industry. “This is beyond what film can do,” Radcliffe says in the clip. “We’re going to create the first truly adaptable hero.”

The 90-minute drama, directed by Owen Harris (Kill Your Friends, and television’s Black Mirror), follows the ongoing fight to stop GTA from reaching minors as its popularity continues to grow and affect the lives of people on both sides of the argument.
