In Danny Boyle’s Steve Jobs, which opens in select theaters today, Michael Fassbender delivers the charisma and callousness that helped make Jobs famous… and infamous.

Finding an A-lister to take on the Aaron Sorkin-scripted biopic wasn’t easy — last year’s Sony hack revealed that studio execs pursued Leonardo DiCaprio, Christian Bale, and Tom Cruise — but Fassbender’s tightly controlled and self-assured performance most closely mirrors the egotistical iMac creator’s personality. And while we’re the first to admit that the two men look nothing alike, we’d totally buy an iPad from Fassbender.
