  • Director Ben Affleck has snagged fellow The Town alum Titus Welliver for Live By Night, adapted from Dennis Lehane‘s novel. The tale follows the son of a beloved police captain who enlists in organized crime during the Prohibition. Welliver takes on Tim Hickey, the boss of Affleck’s gang and a mentor. [The Wrap]
  • The movie musical adaptation of Hello Again filled out its big cast with Audra McDonald, Martha Plimpton, Tyler Blackburn, Jenna Ushkowitz, T.R. Knight, and Rumer Willis. The original 1994 musical by Michael John LaChiusa follows 10 people in 10 different time periods in New York. Filming is underway in New York. [Variety]
  • Another Jesse Owens project is in the works — this time a documentary. Blair Underwood signed on to narrate and executive produce Olympic Pride, American Prejudice, which centers on the 18 African-American Olympians at the 1936 Berlin Games.
