Stephany Folsom is set to hammer out a new draft of Thor: Ragnarok, the third installment of the Marvel film series starring Chris Hemsworth as the godly Norse hero.

An up-and-coming screenwriter whose credits include the 2013 Black List script 1969: A Space Odyssey of How Kubrick Learned to Stop Worrying and Land on the Moon and the forthcoming Disney movie The Princess of North Sudan, Folsom will pick up a Ragnarok script previously worked on by Christopher Yost and Craig Kyle.

Folsom also comes as latest female writer hired for Marvel duty, following Nicole Perlman (Guardians of the Galaxy, Captain Marvel) and Meg LeFauve (Captain Marvel).

Ragnarok will be directed by Taika Waititi (What We Do in the Shadows), and while plot details are scarce, the cat is out of the bag that Thor will team up with his green-skinned pal the Hulk (Mark Ruffalo).

Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige has promised that the threequel will have big repercussions when it opens in November 2017. “[Ragnarok] is a very important word, which means essentially ‘the end of all things,'” he said last year. “It’s a very important movie for us in our Phase 3 timeline.”

The Hollywood Reporter first reported Folsom’s hiring.
