Quentin Tarantino’s snow Western The Hateful Eight is getting a wide release two days earlier than expected.

To meet high demand, digital showings are beginning on 1,958 screens Wednesday, with early screenings Tuesday night and more screens to be added Thursday, The Weinstein Company announced.

The film was slated to receive a wide release on Jan. 8, but was moved a week earlier on Dec. 11. The shift to Tuesday night comes after a successful 70mm roadshow release in 100 theaters on Christmas Day.

“While we are beyond thrilled with the limited release numbers, the demand from moviegoers to see this film has exceeded our capabilities in 70mm,” TWC President of Distribution Erik Lomis said in a statement. “We’re greatly looking forward to bringing it to more theaters and cities and give Tarantino fans across the country the chance to experience this brilliant, intensely fun piece of filmmaking.”

The Hateful Eight follows an unsavory crew — played by Samuel L. Jackson, Kurt Russell, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Tim Roth, Walton Goggins, Bruce Dern, Demián Bichir, and Michael Madsen — stuck in a cabin during a blizzard.
