Chicago Fire, Chicago PD, Chicago Med and SVU spoilers from PaleyFest

On the penultimate night of PaleyFest 2016, the casts of Chicago Fire, Chicago P.D., Chicago Med, and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit gathered to honor Dick Wolf. While the cast waxed poetic about the uber-producer on stage, they were more than willing to spill some spoilers on the red carpet. Here’s what we learned:

Chicago Fire

Casey’s (Jesse Specer) run for alderman will cause tension with Dawson (Monica Raymund), especially when a new woman comes into his life. “He’s going to meet a political consultant that turns his head a little bit,” Spencer tells EW. “She’s a fairly attractive go-getter that is going to aide him in his political career, and they’re going to establish a connection, which is going to cause some conflict.”

Law & Order: SVU

As we previously reported, Fin (Ice-T) was missing in action when Olivia (Mariska Hargitay) was ousted at SVU. When he returns, “He’s pissed,” Ice-T says. “He’s like, ‘What the f—? How did that happen? I’ve only been gone a week. What happened?’ They try to explain it to me. It was a simple case, but there’s more to it. It’s basically from her messing around with Tucker, she got herself in a twist. It’s a conflict of interest, but we right it. It rights itself. Even when we’re trying to help get it right, she’s still in the show and you see what she’s going through.”

Chicago Med

When the medical drama returns, Nurse Lockwood (Marlyne Barrett) lands in police custody for refusing to violate hospital policy, leading to a “great scene” between Maggie and Dr. Rhodes, according to Colin Donnell. “Maggie’s been arrested for obstruction,” he says. “I’m the one who ends up going to pick her up. We have a wonderful interaction and I reveal to her some things about my past that have to do with my family, and what brought me along this path to leave home and come back home for various reasons.”

Chicago P.D.

Lindsay (Sophia Bush) will soon open up about her past with Halstead (Jesse Lee Soffer). “It comes out as a moment of confidence between Lindsay and a victim, and then is something Halstead is aware of that he didn’t know before,” Bush says. “What does that mean to him? Why hasn’t she spoken about it? Does she want to talk about it? These are all very complex things when you’re in a relationship with someone, let alone when you work with that person. To watch them navigate how to be a couple, how to be partners and how to be coworkers is really interesting. The fans will be very surprised by what they learn about her in one sense, and I think it’ll also make all of the reasons that she is the way she is make even more sense at the same time.”

Chicago Fire

Prepare to see a softer side of Severide (Taylor Kinney) when he gets involved with a heartbreaking case. “It’s a case that he goes to that really gets him,” Kinney says. “They recover a body of a child that died years ago. It’s been a cold case. They don’t have it solved. He does his best to try and help figure this out along with another detective. They clash, they butt heads, so we follow the arc of that storyline trying to figure out who did it, why, how, all of those things, for the next two or three episodes. It’s a pretty heavy and emotional arc.”
