Young Broadway fan honors Tony nominees with adorable Lego recreations

When it comes to award shows, they say it’s an honor just to be nominated — but it’s perhaps an even bigger honor to receive a tribute in Lego form, as this year’s crop of Tony contenders just did.

A enterprising young Broadway fan who goes by Jack Abrams on Twitter (@lishy63) faithfully recreates his favorite shows with customized minifigures, and ever since Tony Award nominations were announced this week, he’s been posting congratulatory photos featuring the tiny thespians.

Among the nominated productions to get the Lego treatment are Waitress, Bright Star, Shuffle Along, and of course Hamilton with its record 16 nominations.

The 70th annual Tony Awards will be broadcast live on CBS on June 12.
