In March, Olivia Wilde debuted the music video for New Orleans shamble-rockers Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros’ “No Love Like Yours,” and her work — which she shot entirely on an iPhone — seems to have caught the eye of another outfit. This week the Vinyl star revealed she would be behind the camera for “Dark Necessities,” the first single off the Red Hot Chili Peppers’ upcoming 11th LP.

Earlier this week, Wilde shared photos from the set with various members of the band on her Instagram account, joking about making Chad Smith play double-time for a shot and how she was attempting to hide her pregnancy on set.

“Dark Necessities” is the first single off The Getaway, the RHCP’s 11th studio album, which is slated for release June 17. Their most recent release was I’m With You, which dropped back in 2011. The song is streaming below.
