The reunion was preceded by a tailgate on Panther field, which is no longer used, but is property of the local school district. Though the brush has overgrown on the stands, fans littered the field, touring the Panther field house and locker room, still intact after all these years.

Ahead of a screening of the season 4 episode “The Son,” the cast shared memories of playing flag football on the field while not working. Plemons actually tore his ACL during a friendly game, and the cast was banned from playing again. They did gather after the show wrapped for one more round.

The cast also shared items they stole from set, including Porter taking a state championship ring, Palicki snatching Tyra’s boots and bras, and Britton stealing the reserved parking sign for Tami Taylor, which is in her driveway. “That was such a great character to play,” Britton shared with the roaring crowd, making sure to throw in a y’all to much applause. The reunion closed with the cast and crowd yelling, “Clear eyes, full hearts, can’t lose.”
