Veep: Julia Louis-Dreyfus sends Timothy Simons vulgar birthday wishes

POTUS Selina Meyer and her camp have called Jonah just about every name in the book on the HBO series Veep. Off screen, actress Julia Louis-Dreyfus picked one of the more creatively vulgar ones to include in a birthday card to costar Timothy Simons.

Simons posted a photo of the birthday wish from Louis-Dreyfus and her husband, Brad Hall, on Instagram. The “lovely birthday gift” and card came “from a wine store in my neighborhood,” he wrote. “I realized after a few minutes that meant that someone at the store would have had to have written this out.”

He continued, “I texted Julia how happy that made me. She responded ‘Yeah. I had to spell it out for them.’ That’s J-I-Z-Z-F… This note is as much a birthday gift as the wine.” Simons added an “edit” to the post that read, “She also had to specify if it was one or two words. The gift that keeps on giving.”

During an earlier chat with PEOPLE and EW editorial director Jess Cagle for The Jess Cagle Interview, Dreyfus revealed that “calling Jonah ‘Jolly Green Jizz Face'” is one of her favorite lines from the show.

Another fave she mentioned was equally NSFW: “I loved saying, ‘That’s like using a croissant as a dildo, because it doesn’t do the job, and it makes a f—ing mess’… It’s good, isn’t it? You get the visual, and it’s just bad.”
