Lady Gaga, Dalai Lama to address U.S. Conference of Mayors together

While she’s reportedly working on two forthcoming albums with a slew of different producers, Lady Gaga is teaming up with a new collaborator for a non-musical project: the Dalai Lama.

The singer will join His Holiness this weekend in Indianapolis, as the pair are scheduled to address approximately 300 city leaders from around the country at the U.S. Conference of Mayors.

According to a release, the Dalai Lama will “focus on the global significance of building kind and compassionate cities through action at the local level.” After his remarks, Gaga will the Dalai Lama for an onstage conversation and Q&A. Former NBC News anchor Ann Curry will moderate the discussion.

Following the presentation, presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton will address the audience at the event, which takes place Sunday in the Grand Ballroom of Indianapolis’ J.W. Marriott and is closed to the general public.

Ahead of their address, Gaga retweeted one of the Dalai Lama’s messages on Twitter. “Problems created by human beings have to be solved by human beings,” it reads. “Basic human nature is compassionate and this is our source of hope.”
