The David Frankel-directed film, adapted from Lauren Weisberger’s bestselling novel of the same name, was a surprise hit, grossing more than $300 million worldwide. The film also picked up two Oscar nominations, for costume designer Patricia Field (famous for Carrie Bradshaw & co.’s creative style) and Meryl Streep, whose inspired performance as the demanding fashion editor Miranda Priestly earned rave reviews.
