Yoko Ono's Catman video: Rose McGowan directs

Yoko Ono’s latest album, February’s Yes, I’m a Witch Too, features collaborations and remixes of the experimental artist’s deep catalog of work. On Wednesday, one of those tracks — the Miike Snow remix of “Catman,” originally found on Ono’s 1973 album Approximately Infinite Universe — got a music video.

Former Charmed star Rose McGowan directed the colorful and dancing-filled clip. “Yoko Ono has been an ardent supporter of women and modern dance for years and so I wanted to thank her for that,” she told Pitchfork. “Casting women dancers over 60, including one with cancer, was my way of showing that vitality doesn’t die with age. I used color overlays to create my own visual beat. Very proud to be in Ono world, it’s an important one.”

The “Catman” video continues McGowan’s foray into the music sphere, which began when she released her debut single and music video last September. “I don’t know anyone in music, so hopefully this will open doors for me to collaborate with some other great musicians,” she told EW at the time. “I would be really down for that.” McGowan has previously praised Ono on Twitter.

Yes, I’m a Witch Too also sports contributions from the likes of Death Cab for Cutie, Moby, and tUnE-yArDs and follows Ono’s similar 2007 album Yes, I’m a Witch. Check out the new video for “Catman” below.
