The Tonight Show: Blake Lively's daughter James says sit like a swear

It’s not surprising that the daughter of Ryan Reynolds, a.k.a. the Merc with the Mouth, has a way with words. “It’s like I have Amy Schumer as a daughter,” his wife, Blake Lively, joked of baby James during an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. While she has a habit of mincing words, one of the more NSFW habits is when she tries to say the word “sit.”

“She knows shump for jump, shtand for stand, and if she wants to sit down it’s s–t,” Lively tells Fallon. “She’s like, ‘Hey, s–t. Come s–t with me.'”

The actress, who tested her own word skills in a game of Password played against Benji and Joel Madden of Good Charlotte on the episode, says she’ll take that any day of the week when compared to how James says socks. “For some reason, she doesn’t have a ‘sh-‘ for socks. She has a ‘c-‘ for socks.”
