There’s nothing Mojo Jojo can do to keep Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup down. The Powerpuff Girls revival is returning for a second season, Cartoon Network announced Tuesday.

The Powerpuff Girls is on a momentous run with its first Emmy nod, a debut appearance at one of the biggest fan events of the year, and now a second season greenlight,” said Cartoon Network CCO Rob Sorcher said in a statement. “Congratulations to the Cartoon Network creative teams who have super-powered this property with the perfect amount of Chemical X to bring a hit show for a new generation of fans.”

The original series ran from 1998 to 2005, but was brought back last April with a slightly updated aesthetic. The new incarnation’s first season won an Emmy for Outstanding Short Form Animated Program.

Townsville townies who’ll be in San Diego this week for Comic-Con won’t have to wait until season 2 for a fix of the show. The Powerpuff Girls will make their presence felt at the convention with their first-ever panel, an immersive Townsville-inspired area, and an avatar-maker photo booth.
