Simone Biles surprises Laurie Hernandez on Good Morning America

The lovefest between Olympic gymnasts Simone Biles and Laurie Hernandez continues. Biles surprised her Final Five teammate, soon to be Dancing With the Stars competitor Laurie Hernandez, on Good Morning America Wednesday.

The Dancing With the Stars season 23 cast was being interviewedwhen the hosts revealed a childhood story about Hernandez: Her parents had to bribe her to get her to take dance classes using cookies. “We couldn’t come up with any cookies, but we did bring you something,” said new co-host Michael Strahan mysteriously. That surprise was so much better than cookies: Biles came running out with sparkly, mirror ball high top Converse sneakers for Hernandez.

Biles admitted she’s so excited for Hernandez, that “every time I see a commercial, I fangirl.” She also promised to cheer Hernandez on from the side of the dance floor.
