However, it seems as though some people thought her father was veteran actor Richard Dreyfuss, who quickly took to Twitter to clear up the confusion.

“I’m actually not Julia Louis-Dreyfus’ father. But I really appreciate all the concerned tweets,” tweeted Dreyfuss on Sunday night during the show.

In her emotional speech, Louis-Dreyfus commented on her dad’s love for her series, saying, “I’m so glad he liked Veep because his opinion was the one that really mattered.”
