Death Race 2050 trailer has murder, mayhem, and Malcolm McDowell

Four decades after overseeing the future-set carmaggedon of Death Race 2000, legendary producer Roger Corman is back behind the wheel for Roger Corman’s Death Race 2050, which will be released on Blu-ray combo pack, DVD, and digital HD on Jan. 17, 2017. Directed by G.J. Echternkamp the film is set in an America ruled by The Chairman, in which drivers compete in a cross-country road race, scoring points for running people over and driving each other off the road. The reigning champion and fan favorite, is a half-man, half-machine named Frankenstein whose rebel spy co-pilot threatens his legacy.

Death Race 2050, stars the great Malcolm McDowell as The Chairman and Manu Bennett from Spartacus as Frankenstein. Other cast members include Burt Grinstead, Marci Miller, Folake Olowofoyeku, Anessa Ramsey, Yancy Butler, and Charlie Farrell. The Blu-ray, DVD, and Digital HD releases will also feature three featurettes: The Making of 2050, Cars! Cars! Cars!, and The Look of 2050.
