Avengers: Endgame, Game of Thrones, RBG lead MTV Movie & TV Awards nominations

The 2019 MTV Movie & TV Awards are a little over a month away — and the nominees include expected favorites Avengers: Endgame and Game of Thrones, as well as unexpected titles like the Ruth Bader Ginsburg documentary RBG.

Those three titles lead the nominations with four each. RBG has nominations for Best Documentary, Most Meme-able Moment, the new Real-Life Hero category, and Best Fight, which marks the first time a public figure scored a nomination in that category (vs. Inequality). Game of Thrones is getting awards love for its final season, earning nods for Best Show, Best Hero (Arya Stark), Best Performance in a Show (Emilia Clarke), and Best Fight (Arya vs. the White Walkers).

Avengers: Endgame rounds out the top nominees, and this marks the first awards love for the arc-ending MCU film. The superhero film scored nominations for Best Movie, Best Fight (Captain America vs. Thanos), Best Hero (Tony Stark/Iron Man), and Best Villain (Thanos).
