Stars react to their 2021 Emmy nominations

The Emmy nominations are in for one of the weirdest, toughest years in TV history.

Presented by the Emmy-winning father-daughter duo Ron Cephas Jones and Jasmine Cephas Jones, Tuesday's nominations celebrate many of the shows that were able to still deliver during the global pandemic, providing comfort to viewers sheltering in place.

It was a big year for Disney, whose streaming service scored multiple nominations for shows like WandaVision and The Mandalorian, plus FX finally getting more love for Pose. Don't rule out HBO and even NBC, though, with a bevy of nominations for shows like Mare of Easttown and Saturday Night Live.

Check out reactions from the many nominees below, and see the full list of nominations here.

The 73rd Annual Primetime Emmy Awards, hosted by Cedric the Entertainer, will air on CBS and Paramount+ at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on Sunday, Sept. 19.

As a Latina actress in this industry for over 30-plus years, I have been very blessed but let's be honest, a role like this doesn't come that often, no matter how long or how well you've done in this industry. But I kept the faith. This was truly an actor's dream job, to have so much fun on a daily basis and so much freedom and trust to soar. I'm so happy I said yes to Ms. Kaley Cuoco to play this wonderfully flawed and lovable character. My congratulations to her on her Best Actress nomination!! The Underground Railroad (Outstanding Limited Or Anthology Series)

It's for that reason I want to thank the Television Academy, on behalf of every soul who ever appeared at the bottom or top of any call sheet in our 116 days of shooting, for the recognition of this show alongside the exemplary nominees in the limited series category.
