Orphan Black‘s Tatiana Maslany was a little overwhelmed during her Emmys acceptance speech on Sunday — not just because it marked her first Emmys win, but also because her phone kept going off with congratulatory messages while she was on stage.

“My phone kept going off accidentally,” she said during an interview with the Television Academy backstage. In lieu of paper, the actress had her thank you list on her phone because she didn’t think she was going to win, she explained. “It was on Notes, but then they were all dinging because my friends are texting me.”

Maslany won for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series, a category that included nominees Viola Davis (How to Get Away With Murder), Taraji P. Henson (Empire), Robin Wright (House of Cards), Claire Danes (Homeland), and Keri Russell (The Americans).

“I should have written this down,” Maslany said on stage with her phone in hand. “Thank you so much. There are so many people I’m indebted to.”
