Emmy thoughts: ''I like a bit of dress-up time. We don't get to dress up very often in North Carolina where we film. And us nominees are so spoiled. They practically throw free clothes at you!

Emmy thoughts: ''In celebration of the new Dancing With the Stars season and our nomination, I thought I would wear sequins. Sequins make a party, and maybe I'm hoping that they will help us finally win. We always lose to The Amazing Race. Our team works so hard and I would love for them to be honored for all that hard work. And c'mon after 10 or so Emmy wins, you should just share a statue or two. It'd be great if they accepted the award but then walked off the stage and gave it to a different show. Pay it forward.''

Emmy thoughts: ''I think Jessica Lange is probably going to win over me and that's how it should be. She's a legend and deserves it in an enormous way so I'll be applauding loudly from my seat.''

Emmy thoughts: ''I feel so much more invested in American Horror Story in the second season. I only did four episodes last season and it was great fun and I thought the show was great, but the part I am playing in the second season just calls for so much more. And it is scarier and more psychological. There is less humor than season one. That said, I will be there on Sunday to support them and I hope they win. They made such an innovative show.''

Emmy thoughts: ''[I'm rooting for] Downton Abbey, one for queen and country. It is nice when anyone does well from home, and it's a great show. You wear a track suit, sip tea, watch it back to back, and feel like you're home. Period dramas feel very cozy to me.''

Emmy thoughts: ''Jon Hamm for sure. He is Don Draper. I never get tired of watching him work. I hope that Girls wins something. Lena Dunham is totally transfixing to me. It is such a window into that generation. I am always surprised by where they take it and what happens.

Emmy thoughts: ''Benedict Cumberbatch for miniseries for best actor is who I would like to see win. But then again, he is up against Kevin Costner so it is a tough call. I grew up watching Kevin. It is such strong competition in my category as well. For me just to be one of the nominees and accepted amongst my peers and recognized in this way is amazing. I am in a category with iconic actresses. It is a dream come true.''

Emmy thoughts: ''I'm a big fan [of Breaking Bad]. All of us on True Blood watch it and then the next day on set we talk about what happened the night before. We have some serious water cooler debates. It would be nice to see the supporting actors get some love.''

Emmy thoughts: ''I'd like to see more new faces take home gold on Sunday. I think it gets too predictable and boring when the same people win every year. And when someone new wins or even gets nominated, they are so thrilled. There's nothing like the first time. I know when my Glee girl Dot Marie-Jones got her nomination, she was so happy and appreciated it. I'd like to someday take home some gold myself. And my boss Ryan [Murphy] has a few nominations with American Horror Story so that'd make me happy, to see him get some gold too.''

Emmy thoughts: ''I am obsessed with Game of Thrones, Downton Abbey and The Good Wife, so if one of those were to win, I could be okay with that. I would be sad, because I think our show [Homeland] deserves to win, but I could concede our victory to a fabulous show like Game of Thrones. I love the story. It is a little stressful to watch it. I mean how many kings do there need to be? I feel like you either need to make a chart or just relax into it and enjoy the ride.''
