Keri Russell played Felicity Porter, a smart teen who turned down attending Stanford's acclaimed pre-med program to follow her high school crush, Ben Covington (Scott Speedman), to the University of New York. While in the Big Apple, Felicity came into her own, maturing and becoming a grounded, independent woman as the show progressed.

After Felicity, Russell starred in 2006's Mission: Impossible III with Tom Cruise, playing a fellow MI6 agent. She made mid-2000s appearances in the miniseries Into the West and on the sitcom Scrubs, and hit the big screen in 2007's August Rush, 2013's Dark Skies, and 2014's Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. Russell turned in another iconic TV performance as undercover KGB intelligence officer Elizabeth Jennings on FX's The Americans, which earned her three Emmy nominations. She went on to feature in Star Wars: Episode IX — The Rise of Skywalker (2019), reuniting with Felicity co-creator J.J. Abrams, in addition to starring in such horror films as Antlers (2021) and Cocaine Bear (2023).

Russell has two children from a past relationship and shares a son with her longtime partner, and former Americans costar, Matthew Rhys.

As Felicity's R.A.-turned-lover-turned-pal, Scott Foley's Noel Crane offered a contrast to her relationship with Ben. When he wasn't with Felicity, the college student had a bit of a lifestyle change, dropping out of school after a failed relationship with classmate Ruby (Amy Smart), only to marry a friend's cousin, Natalie (Ali Landry).

In the years since the show's 2002 wrap, Foley has made appearances on Scrubs, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Cougar Town, True Blood, and The Goodwin Games. He also starred alongside Dennis Haysbert and Regina Taylor on the CBS action-drama The Unit from 2006 to 2009. Most notably, Foley joined Shondaland, first with a brief stint on Grey's Anatomy, followed by a lengthy turn as Kerry Washington's love interest Jake Ballard in the hit show Scandal. Since the conclusion of Scandal in 2018, Foley has taken on leading roles on shows that were ultimately short-lived: ABC's Whiskey Cavalier and Fox's The Big Leap.

Foley has three children with Polish actress Marika Dominczyk.

She went on to star in the 2006 Tyler Perry comedy, Madea's Family Reunion, and appeared in 2012's The Good Life, 2013's Hollywood Chaos, and 2014's Blood Lines, making her directorial debut with the 2016 film DILF Diaries.

Following Felicity, Foreman had recurring roles on Alias, What About Brian, Private Practice, Parenthood, and Awkward. She also appeared in the 2009 and 2013 Star Trek movies and had a cameo on the short-lived TV show Selfie.
