Captain Marvel has added titanic box office might to her repertoire of superhero powers.

The Brie Larson-fronted Marvel Cinematic Universe entry crossed the $1 billion mark at the global box office Tuesday, making it the seventh overall MCU title to reach the milestone. To date, all 21 MCU films have earned a collective $18.5 billion globally.

According to a press release from distributor Disney, the project — about the titular hero (Larson) fighting to save the planet from a galactic war between alien beings — has amassed $358.1 million in North America and $644.5 from international territories for a total tally of $1,002.6 million. The film has earned the most foreign dollars in China, where it has taken $152.3 million so far.

Larson celebrated the achievement on social media Wednesday in tweet expressing her excitement over the film’s box office receipts.

“Our girl Carol Danvers just joined the One Billion Club!” Larson wrote. “Thank you endlessly for helping us cross this milestone. It has been a pleasure sharing this character with the world. I’ve loved seeing the cosplay, fan art and passionate words about our HERo. Higher Further Faster baby!”

Across its first weekend in theaters, Captain Marvel bagged $456.7 around the world — the sixth highest global opening in history and second highest for a female-fronted picture (trailing only Star Wars: The Force Awakens‘ $529 million worldwide start in 2015).

Among action films driven by women, the Anna Boden/Ryan Fleck-directed Captain Marvel‘s domestic gross ranks seventh, behind such films as The Force Awakens ($936.7 million), The Hunger Games: Catching Fire ($424.7 million), and DC’s Wonder Woman ($412.6 million), among others.

Captain Marvel (also starring Jude Law, Annette Bening, Gemma Chan, Ben Mendelsohn, and Djimon Hounsou) is now playing in theaters nationwide; Larson will reprise her role in the upcoming Avengers: Endgame on April 26.
