Miley Cyrus styles her hair to match Hannah Montana's look, winning #ThrowbackThursday forever

Miley Cyrus no longer wants the best of both worlds; she’s picking just the Hannah Montana side of things.

Thirteen years after she first became a household name, Cyrus is bringing back her Disney alter ego. The singer, who spent the last few days posting throwback photos of her as the teen icon in her Instagram stories and teasing “big changes” were coming, took the nostalgia to a whole other level by cutting and coloring her hair to resemble Montana’s blonde, fringed look.

“It was so hard going back and forth that I decided I’ll just be Hannah forever,” says Miley in a post. “She was getting a lot of press this week, thanks to me.”

Cyrus got her break playing brunette Miley Stewart — a teen living a double life as blonde pop singer — on the Disney Channel series Hannah Montana from 2006 to 2011. She has since chopped off her locks and grown them back out again, as she pointed out in a video posted on her hair stylist Justin Anderson’s Instagram page: “It’s all me. I can’t believe that’s my f—ing hair! My hair is so long, that’s no weave!”
