Though Taylor Swift's 2017 has been relatively quiet, the superstar has made a few select appearances on social media. One of her rare Instagram posts came on March 2, when Swift gave Lorde's new single "Green Light" a valuable endorsement. "g2g brb just gonna make up an interpretive dance to this magnificent bop for the ages ELLA I LOVE YOU," wrote Swift, using her pal Lorde's real name. Cut to June, when Lorde said being friends with someone as famous as Swift was "like having a friend with an autoimmune disease" because "there are certain places you can’t go together" and "certain things you can’t do." She later apologized on Twitter, writing, "didn't mention taylor, but regardless, i f---ed up & that was really insensitive. i'm sorry." Then came Lorde's July comments about all the famous friends she's made over the years: "I don’t hang out with these people at all." Clarifying the comments on Twitter, Lorde wrote, "taylor is a dear friend. i love her very much." She added that Swift "has been there for me in all my dark and light moments these past 5 years."
