Songs by music industry superstars including Shakira, Sia, Justin Timberlake, and Alicia Keys are advancing to the next round of Oscar voting, as the Academy has announced a list of 91 songs eligible in the Best Original Song category.

Billboard Hot 100 hits from family-friendly movies like Shakira’s “Try Everything” (from Disney’s Zootopia) and Timberlake’s No. 1-charting “Can’t Stop the Feeling!” (from Fox’s Trolls) both appear on the Oscar shortlist, as does Keys’ “Back To Life” (from Queen of Katwe), Sia’s “Waving Goodbye” (from The Neon Demon), Pharrell Williams’ “Runnin'” (from Hidden Figures), and the Lin-Manuel Miranda-penned “How Far I’ll Go” (from Moana).

Though La La Land is currently leading the charge on the road toward Best Picture, the Amber Rose-starring comedy What Happened Last Night notches the most individual tunes eligible in the category, tallying four total, while the Damien Chazelle-helmed musical boasts three, including “Audition (The Fools Who Dream),” “City Of Stars,” and “Start A Fire.”

Two songs from John Carney’s Sing Street — “Drive It Like You Stole It” and “Go Now” — fill slots on the list as well. The filmmaker’s 2007 romance Once previously won an Oscar for its Glen Hansard/Markéta Irglová collaboration “Falling Slowly.”

While many of the tracks are performed by A-list talents, only “principal composer(s) or songwriter(s) responsible for the conception and execution of the work as a whole shall be eligible for an award,” according to the Academy. For example, if “Try Everything” advances, Shakira won’t receive a nomination, but songwriters Sia and Stargate (Mikkel Eriksen, Tor Hermansen) will.

According to official Academy rules, in order to qualify for a Best Original Song nomination, compositions featuring audible lyrics must be created specifically for a given film, and an “intelligible, substantive rendition of both lyric and melody must be used in the body of the film or as the first music cue in the end credits.”

Nominations are scheduled to be announced on Tuesday, Jan. 24. The 89th Oscars will be held on Sunday, Feb. 26, 2017 at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood. ABC’s live broadcast of the ceremony begins at 7 p.m. ET.
