Oscars 2017: Moonlight cast dabs on the red carpet

The cast of Moonlight is lighting up the red carpet.

Barry Jenkins’ powerful drama cleaned up at Saturday’s Film Independent Spirit Awards, winning six awards including best picture, and the cast brought that same celebratory energy to the Oscars pre-show on Sunday. Moonlight is up for eight Academy Awards, including best picture and best director, and as the cast walked the carpet before the show, reporters took video of the film’s young stars dabbing in excitement.

Alex R. Hibbert, Ashton Sanders, and Trevante Rhodes all play Moonlight’s protagonist Chiron over the course of the film, and the trio all walked the red carpet and posed for photos together. Also in attendance are stars Mahershala Ali and Naomie Harris, who are each nominated for best supporting actor and best supporting actress, respectively.
