Mike Myers and Dana Carvey have a head-banging Wayne's World reunion at the Oscars

We’re not worthy! We’re not worthy!

In 1992, Mike Myers and Dana Carvey brought their characters Wayne and Garth from Saturday Night Live to the big screen. Now, nearly three decades later, Wayne and Garth are back together again on the Oscars stage.

Meyers and Carvey took the stage, quoting their film (“and if you spew, I’ll blow chunks”) before introducing the clip to honor Best Picture nominee Bohemian Rhapsody.

Wayne’s World opened with an iconic scene in which Wayne, Garth, and three of their friends in a car, singing along and violently head-banging to the Queen song “Bohemian Rhapsody.” The scene was so iconic it propelled the song to #2 on the Hot 100 chart when the movie was released (it had only reached #9 when the song itself came out, 17 years before).

Everything came full circle when Myers had a small role in the Oscar-nominated biopic Bohemian Rhapsody as a bitter (fictional) music executive named Ray Foster who says, “No one is going to be head-banging in the car to ‘Bohemian Rhapsody.’” Haha — get it?

Eagle-eyed fans already spotted the duo in the audience during the ceremony before they appeared on stage together.

The film Bohemian Rhapsody is nominated for Best Picture, Best Actor (for Rami Malek’s portrayal of Freddie Mercury), sound mixing, sound editing, and film editing.
