Jimmy Fallon and Justin Timberlake go full Bee Gees in SNL revival of classic Barry Gibb Talk Show sketch

"Lickin' a drain, humpin' a drain."

Justin Timberlake and Jimmy Fallon returned to Studio 8H — and brought some Saturday Night Live fever with them.

Appearing as this week’s musical guest, the “Selfish” singer reunited with the Tonight Show host for another edition of The Barry Gibb Talk Show, the iconic sketch that cast Fallon as Bee Gees member Barry Gibb and Timberlake as his bandmate and brother, Robin.

This particular episode was an extra-special election-themed broadcast, featuring Andrew Yang (Bowen Yang), Elie Mystal (Kenan Thompson), and Joanne Carducci (host Dakota Johnson). Fallon continues his run as a no-nonsense, easily angered Barry while Timberlake says very little as Robin, but is always ready to croon along.

After they perform the show's signature theme song, Barry begins with the exact level of chaos viewers have come to expect: One question in, he snaps at Thompson's Mystal with an unexpected insult and an even weirder threat.

“You look like if Don King ate another Don King!” Barry yells. “I will unhinge my jaw and bite your head off like a Goldfish cracker!”

He continues, “I fear nothing. I watched Saltburn with my entire family, and I knew about the bathtub scene beforehand. And I loved it.”

Then, to the theme of the Bee Gees classic “Stayin’ Alive,” he and Timberlake sing, “Ha, ha, ha, ha, lickin’ a drain, humpin’ a drain.”

Later, Barry asks Carducci a question, but when she answers he immediately responds, "How dare you interrupt me! I do not play! I am legend! You cannot break me! I have not cried in 77 years except for during episodes of the Australian TV show Bluey… But if you don’t cry at Bluey, you’re not a real man.”

The show teased the revival earlier in the episode, when Fallon "accidentally" crashed Johnson's SNL monologue in full Bee Gees regalia. "These are my normal clothes," he assured the screaming audience, as Timberlake ushered him off stage.

This marks the seventh edition of The Barry Gibb Talk Show, which kicked off in 2003 when Timberlake was host and Fallon was still a member of the SNL cast. They've reprised the bit several times over the years, but not since December 2013, when Barry Gibb himself made a surprise appearance, a year after his brother Robin’s death.
