The Republican-red star of The View's Hot Topics table has a steamy idea for a warm facial routine.
After a wild day of debate that, within the first 10 minutes of Friday's episode saw Sunny Hostin assert that an embryo is a baby and Sara Haines subsequently "check" her, conservative seat holder Alyssa Farah Griffin tried to lighten the mood with a frothy quip during a discussion about the Alabama Supreme Court's recent ruling that frozen embryos could potentially be considered children under state law.
"You can freeze sperm, thaw it back out and use it to, uh..." Ana Navarro said, attempting to make a point about fertilization, before Griffin, 34, cut her off and interjected: "As a nice face cream."
After taking a few milliseconds to process what she — the table's resident wholesome Swiftie — just said on national television, Griffin quickly threw her hands up from the table and apologized... to America, to her cohosts, to Whoopi Goldberg watching from home, and, most importantly, to herself: "Sorry," she said. "That's gross."
Griffin's fellow panelists appeared to be unfazed by the stunning statement — outside of 81-year-old Joy Behar, who famously met her husband at a nudist colony and quietly giggled while looking at Griffin from across the table.
The View airs weekdays at 11 a.m. ET on ABC.
